I started learning French thinking that between a bit of Duolingo and spending some time in France, I would absorb enough to start picking up the language. This turned out to be completely the wrong approach and I found myself getting nowhere. I have been taking lessons from Tara for a few years now and my only regret is that I did not start sooner. Having everything explained in the clear and logical way that Tara does is the best way to learn. My oral comprehension, ability to read, write and speak in French all rapidly improved. Tara est vraiment une prof exceptionnelle. Avant de commencer avec elle, je pensais que la grammaire française était un casse-tête impossible, mais elle arrive à l’expliquer d’une façon tellement claire et simple qu’on se dit : « Ah, mais oui, ça fait sens ! » Ses cours sont dynamiques et amusants – on apprend sans même s’en rendre compte.
Quand j’ai débuté, je partais de zéro, vraiment niveau A0, et grâce à Tara, j’ai pu atteindre un niveau B2/C1. Elle a un vrai talent pour enseigner aux grands débutants, en utilisant un langage accessible mais toujours riche. Ce qui est génial, c’est qu’elle sait s’adapter à ses élèves et leur donner confiance.

Intensywny kurs języka francuskiego prowadzony przez Tarę Dornier to była wspaniała przygoda i wzbogacające doświadczenie nie tylko lingwistycznie. Tara tworzyła na zajęciach wyjątkowo przyjemną i jednocześnie dynamiczną atmosferę do nauki, co sprawiało, że kilkugodzinny kurs wydawał się trwać „tylko krótki moment” 😊.
To, co wyróżnia Tarę jako nauczycielkę, to jej indywidualne podejście do każdego studenta, co nie tylko motywuje, ale również znacząco wspiera proces nauki. Jej codzienne zaangażowanie i cierpliwość były widoczne na każdym kroku – kiedy trzeba było, wyjaśniała zawiłości gramatyczne czy trudne aspekty semantyczne wielokrotnie, aż do skutku 😊.
Bardzo mi się podobała różnorodność materiałów do nauki, takie jak np. ćwiczenia gramatyczne, filmy, piosenki lub wyjątkowo starannie i ciekawie przedstawione schematy lub konstrukcje gramatyczne.
Ze względu na pandemie miałem okazję uczestniczyć także w kursach prowadzonych on-line oraz hybrydowo i uważam, że jakość kurs w takiej wersji wciąż pozostała na niezmienionym, wysokim poziomie.
Z pełnym przekonaniem mogę polecić kursy językowe oferowane przez Tarę! 😊

After retiring to France, I soon realised that my basic French was insufficient to properly make friends and conduct every day transactions. I wanted to improve my French comprehension and communication skills quickly. Fortunately, I found a wonderful teacher in Tara. She has a sound knowledge of grammar and is able to vary her teaching methods to keep it interesting as well as challenging. Tara was also patient when occasional struggles arose with complex rules. My confidence grew with each lesson and progress was rapid. While I no longer take any lessons, I still refer to the many, clear handouts she provided and learning tools she gave me. I wholeheartedly recommend Tara to anyone wanting to improve their French, regardless of level.
